From Australia to Invercargill — D1NZ Fires Up the Season at Teretonga

The D1NZ National Drifting Championship is heading back to Invercargill this November, kicking off the new season with a double-header weekend at the legendary Teretonga Park, the world’s southernmost FIA-recognised circuit. For the first time, both the Pro and Pro-Sport classes will compete this far south, promising a massive start to the year.

This year also marks an exciting milestone, with GT Radial named official tyre of D1NZ for the 2026 season. As drifting continues to evolve, tyre performance plays a critical role in grip, control, and consistency, and GT Radial is proud to support the championship with high-performance technology developed for both track and road.

Fans can expect a full weekend of action including drift battles, open paddock access, a charity cruise, hard-park displays, and additional racing at Riverside Speedway.

As the countdown begins, Teretonga is ready to host a high-energy weekend that sets the tone for a huge year of drifting in Aotearoa, powered by passion, performance, and GT Radial.
